TIXEL treatment for skin rejuvenation in Amsterdam

New: Revolutionary TIXEL treatment for skin rejuvenation in Amsterdam

Non invasive skin improvement is trending
A beautiful new skin from the inside is a common wish. The latest addition to our clinic is the Tixel. Treatment with the Tixel is the most intensive therapy against skin aging and the device works on heat.

The skin is put to work by the treatments themselves, which will make them stronger and healthier. The special thing about the Tixel is that the effect is actually the same as the well-known CO2 laser only with less down time after the treatment.

The results are amazing and within a few months the patient enjoys very visible results.

What is a TIXEL treatment?

The Tixel treatment

The Tixel uses a new concept called Thermo-Mechanical Ablation. This means that a cup (1 cm2) with small titanium pins is shot against the skin very briefly. By means of a short contact time with the skin micro holes are made in the skin and heat is brought deep into the skin. A wound healing process is triggered by the small wounds. The release of heat into the dermis ensures collagen remodeling, which results in firmer skin. The result of the Tixel is comparable to that of a CO2 laser, but with a shorter downtime and fewer side effects. Because the Tixel injures the epidermis much less than other equipment, the recovery time is around 4-6 days. In addition, the risk of complications is smaller. The advantage of the Tixel is that the area around the eyes can also be treated, because it does not work with laser radiation but with heat.

Before you can undergo this treatment a consultation is necessary.

What else can the Tixel treatment be used for?

  • Reduction of fine lines
  • Reduce smokers skin
  • Reducing deeper lines
  • Strengthening of relaxed skin
  • Reinforcement of drooping eyelids
  • Reduction of sun damage

For whom is the Tixel suitable?

The Tixel is in principle suitable for everyone who wants to improve the skin. For example, (Acne) scars can occur at a younger age and the Tixel is also ideal for tackling the first fine lines that usually appear around the eyes after the 25th year of life. You must first come to a consultation so that the therapist can look closely at the skin.

What are the applications of Tixel?

The Tixel really focuses on tightening the skin and reducing fine lines and wrinkles. The nice thing about the Tixel is that the device can be applied to different areas including the face, neck and décolleté. The Tixel can also be applied to the body and you can think of the arms, hands, legs and buttocks.

What happens before the Tixel treatment?

The therapist will review the suitability for the treatment and possible risk factors. The Tixel can be applied to almost all skin types. It is important not to sunbathe both 4 weeks before and 4 weeks after the treatment. The therapist will clean the skin prior to the treatment before starting the treatment.

What happens during the Tixel treatment?

After the Tixel head is placed on the skin, the patient feels warm injections on the skin. This way we treat the entire area very accurately. The treatment itself can give some pain but this pain is tolerable. If desired, you can use paracetamol before the treatment. During treatment, the skin may turn red and some swelling may occur after the treatments. A treatment takes about 20-30 minutes depending on the zone.

What happens after the Tixel treatment?

The skin will feel warmer, redder and somewhat swollen for about 24 hours and we treat this with a cooling after-treatment cream. The recovery time is about 6-8 days where the skin will feel sun burnt (tight skin). After 2-4 days, the skin can show brown, dry scaling of minuscule dots. These dots are barely visible to others but can give a slightly bronzed look. In addition, it is important to apply the skin with Oxygenetics ointment every 2 hours during the first week to prevent skin dehydration. Exposure to the sun should be avoided for about 3 months.

What is the result of the Tixel treatment?

Because the treatment has less down time and works differently than a laser you come back several times before you reach the result. After about 6 months the skin will be completely renewed. After about 6 months you will see the full result, but after a month you can already experience some difference. Pores are refined and skin looks and feels smoother. The process of collagen formation takes time. Even afterwards, the skin itself continues to produce collagen and elastin through which the effect works through. Of course, the aging process can not be stopped and it is important to schedule a touch-up treatment every six months to keep the result.

What is the number of Tixel treatments?

The number of treatments with the Tixel depends on the desired result and the current condition of the skin. On average 4 Tixel treatments are needed. There is about 4 weeks between each treatment. The exact treatment plan is drawn up during the intake.

Preventive measures Tixel

It is important to avoid the sun at least 4 weeks before and after the treatment and to use an SPF 30-50 daily. The treatment can also give a better result if you use the supplements from LaViesage (Skinbase, Skollagen, Skin boost & Lift) before the start and during the treatment period. In addition, we advise starting a week before the start with 1000mg of vitamin C tablets and a multivitamin tablet.

The Tixel is safe to use and meets the most stringent safety requirements. The device is therefore provided with a CE and * FDA quality mark. Of course our team has followed a thorough training to be able to perform this treatment and you are always assisted by an experienced skin specialist.

No you can not use make-up immediately after the treatment. You should use a mineral powder or make-up for 48 hours after treatment. Different foundation is not recommended because this can close the skin and the skin more difficult to heal. Handle the skin carefully, do not rub, scratch or scratch the skin.

Because the skin of the evaporated holes can quickly recover, the chance of infection and other side effects is minimal. In some cases, the skin may react allergically when using its own cosmetics. It is also possible that redness and swelling can persist for 3 days or longer.

If you are sensitive to hyperpigmentation, it is important to use pigment inhibitors in night care. In addition, an SPF 30 is necessary (for everyone) up to 3 months after treatment.

I am sensitive to hyperpigmentation. Can I undergo the treatment?
