At our location on Willemsparkweg, the Venus Legacy treatment has become extremely popular in no time. Still we get a lot of questions about what ‘Radiofrequency’ is.
Radio frequency treatments have been on my wish list for a long time and with the opening of the second location I finally have the space to be able to offer these innovative treatments. In my opinion, Radio Frequency is indispensable within an all-round treatment plan for skin rejuvenation and maintaining beautiful, radiant skin.
With the Venus Legacy facial treatment we are able to warm up the tissue in a very controlled way. The heating boost collagen production. As we age, collagen production decreases and this is the cause of skin aging. By optimally boosting collagen production, we can postpone this skin aging for as long as possible and partially restore it. With the Venus Legacy treatment for the body we are able to work on the fat cells so that we can treat small local fat deposits and tighten the skin.
Venus Legacy MP2
In my clinic we work with the Venus Legacy MP2. This device emits multipolar radio frequency in combination with magnetic pulses.
The radio frequency lifts the skin and the magnetic pulses provide tightening and strengthening. The patented MP2 technology is unique and the only technology that not only focuses on existing collagen but is also capable of treating the skin in such a way that new fibroblasts (which provide collagen) and blood vessels will be produced.
When do I start Radiofrequency treatments?
The answer to this question is as quickly as possible. Preferably before the first signs of skin aging are visible. Radio frequency is a wonderful preventive treatment that helps to delay the first signs of skin aging as long as possible. In the context of prevention is better than cure, I therefore advise my (young) clients to start treatment in a timely manner. If someone is very young (for example, 25 years) then I recommend a course (1 x per week) of 6 treatments, after which we switch to maintenance (1 x per month or per 2 months). Someone in middle age I generally recommend a course of 10 to 12 treatments (depending on the indication) followed by monthly maintenance.
What are the indications?
- Prevention – start at a young age to delay skin aging for as long as possible
- Skin relaxation
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Moisture accumulations (both on the body and for example under the eyes)
- Dehydrated skin
- Rough skin texture
When will I see results?
Result needs time. This treatment really focuses on skin regeneration, collagen production and deeper skin layers. After each treatment you see improvement but for the end result you have to be patient. It can take 3-6 months for you to reach the full result (if you faithfully undergo follow-up treatment). It is very important to realize this when you start the treatments. Many clients already expect a big difference after treatment 2 and that is often not the case. Give the body time to put itself to work. The result really follows.
Is there a downtime?
No there is no downtime. The skin may turn a little red after treatment, but this will quickly disappear. That there is no downtime makes this treatment so popular among the stars.
I always advise my clients to extend the treatment plan with collagen supplements. In my clinic on the Willemsparkweg, among other things, I offer high-quality Cellics supplements and we see really better results when these supplements are combined with radiofrequency treatments. Collagen production is increasing and we can also clearly see this in the skin scan that we perform before and after the course of treatment.
A complete treatment plan consists of a series of treatments that work on the various layers of the skin. Supplemented with the right anti-aging products for the home, supplements and of course a healthy lifestyle. Radio frequency is part of every treatment plan. You start with a course (number of treatments depending on age and indication) after which you switch to maintenance. Other important treatments that belong to an optimal treatment plan include the HIFU that really works on the SMAS layer (really the deeper layers) of the skin and! QMS for the top layers of the skin for optimal hydration and glow. I recommend Peelings every quarter and Mesotherapy is also a wonderful treatment for extra hydration and glow. Every treatment plan looks slightly different based on age and indication, so always be well advised.
